The icons are by me. ^^ Character's name: Hououji Fuu Character's age: 14 Character's gender: Female Series the character is from: Magic Knight Rayearth Point in canon they're being taken from: After the final book. (Same time as Umi) Brief background: Fuu is the younger of two daughters of a middle-class family. She goes to a famous school for intelligent girls. Her hobbies are archery, video games and reading. Since the school's level is very high, Fuu makes an average student even though in a normal school she would probably be on the top. She gets along with everybody but is a sort of a lonely wolf, enjoying being by herself. Also she might be considered a bit odd by others (which never really bothered her). The closest person to her is her sister Kuu who knows her the best and isn't distracted by her tendency to keep to herself. On a school trip to Tokyo Tower, Fuu's life changes dramatically when she is suddenly summoned (along with two other girls Hikaru and Umi, who she hadn't met before that day) by Princess Emeraude to another world called Cephiro. Fuu is shocked at first but calms down very quickly and when told by Master Mage Clef that the only way to return home is to become the Magic Kinghts and safe Cephiro, she decides to go along with it. She is neither enthusiastic like Hikaru nor reluctant like Umi. She rather sees Cephiro as a fantasy game and seems to deal with it as if it was just a that. However, during their journey to safe the Princess, the pillar and magical supporter of the whole world, from her kidnapper, High Priest Zagato, Fuu becomes closer with Hikaru and Umi. She also learns to use her magic that Clef gave them when she needs to heal Umi after a fight with Alcyone, one of Zagato's minions. Fuu's magic is mainly defensive with only one simple attack spell but her spells have more variety than Umi's and Hikaru's. She can heal and create barriers. Once the time comes for her to prove herself worthy of donning the Rune God Windam, she has already created a strong bond with Hikaru and Umi and is ready to die for them, which convinces Windam. On their journey to awake the legendary Rune Gods the girls also meet and make friends with Cephiro's people, friends and foes alike. (Fuu finds the mysterious swordman Ferio particularly nice.) But when the time comes to face Zagato, the three find that in the real world there is no such things as good and evil. It's revealed that they where not supposed to safe the Princess after all but to kill her for falling in love with Zagato, something a pillar should never do. Zagato was only trying to protect his loved one even though it would mean that the whole world of Cephiro would be destroyed. As the Magic Knights, Hikaru, Umi and Fuu are forced to kill the two lovers and they are finally able to return home. They find that almost no time passed while they where away. Feeling remorseful about their first mission as the Magic Knights, the three gather together again in Tokyo Tower and they all feel that they want to go back to Cephiro and this time do something good for the country. Right then they are summoned back for an unknown reason and they find Cephiro on the verge of collapse without a pillar to support it. A new pillar must be found before Cephiro is destroyed. Also there are foreign countries trying to invade the unprotected Cephiro for their own reasons. The three Magic Knights decide to fight for Cephiro -- not out of duty but out of their own will. They also start to have doubts about the rightfulness of the pillar system that places all the burden on one person. In the end the new pillar is found to be Hikaru who as the pillar decides to change the system and thus Cephiro will be supported by all those who love it. The three girls return to live in their own world but now they can visit Cephiro and their friends there whenever they like and they'll be finally able to see the country as a truly beautiful place. Personality: Fuu is very calm. She quickly recovers even from the shock of being thrown into a strange world and starts making her own deductions about her new surroundings, also stating the most obvious thoughts as if she's thinking out loud or just being really slow. That together with her tendency to handle even the strangest situations with everyday logic make her a peculiar person to talk to. Even her attitude towards her own death seems to be very simple and unconcerned. She only worries about making her loved ones sad by dying. She never loses her temper and she is always polite and friendly, even towards her enemies. It also means that just because she's friendly towards someone it doesn't mean that she likes them. She isn't as altruistic and kind as Hikaru even though she might seem like it to someone who doesn't know her. Still, she likes to help people. She has a healthy amount of selfishness and self-respect and if she decides that she is ready to put her life on the line for someone, it really means something. Her body language is that of a well-mannered young woman: calm and unobtrusive (and slightly stiff). She is much less energetic than her friends. She mostly does simple hand expressions (hand+cheek, hand+mouth, hand+chest compinations). The only exception is when she fights. She is intelligent but also wise and mature (even though most of the time she's kind of silly). Her attitude is very positive towards everything. She understands what she can do and doesn't worry about what she can't do anything about and she always takes responsibility of the things she has done. But she is also the sneakiest one of the girls. Her family is very important to her and so are her friends Umi and Hikaru and their friends in Cephiro, especially Ferio who seems to be able to make her lose all of her rationality easily. | |||||||||
